SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM OVERVIEWS
Charles Henry Terrell Academy is grateful to be partnered with, and are proud to offer scholarship opportunities through the following programs: Georgia Promise Scholarship Program, Georgia Special Needs Scholarship (SB10), and the Tuttle-Newton Scholarship Program.
The Georgia Promise Scholarship is a recently established initiative designed to expand educational choice for families. It provides eligible students—including those from underserved or underperforming schools—with funds that can be used toward approved educational expenses at participating private schools. This program empowers families to select the learning environment that best supports their child's academic and developmental needs.
Georgia Special Needs Scholarship also known as SB10, this program enables students with active Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to enroll in approved private schools that can better accommodate their specific learning requirements. Funded by the Georgia Department of Education, this scholarship opens the door to more personalized instructional support and improved educational outcomes for students with special needs.
The Tuttle-Newton Scholarship stated mission is "To access for unfortunate children programs to enable them to be successful." A more modern statement would be that Tuttle-Newton supports the needs of children and their families by providing shelter, emergency financial aid and by helping families access services for their children.
For more information about eligibility, application processes, or how these scholarships may benefit your family, please contact the school office directly.
