Before & After School

BEFORE CARE  & AFTER SCHOOL

Before School Care is offered to meet the needs of families who require childcare during the days that school is not in session. This program is adult supervised and offers an opportunity to explore and play in an environment that is less structured and safe.
After school for students are offered through an independent contractor. Parents can select the following that will assist their child’s needs.
  • Bessie’s Childcare (706) 481-9968
  • Boys & Girls Club (706) 737-3554
  • Emerging Leaders Learning Center (706)-432-9705 (Ask for Ms. Monica)

LIBRARY

1. The library supports literacy, oral knowledge, print knowledge and concepts. Story time experience includes finger plays, poetry, puppet shows, songs and read-aloud stories.
2. Students also learn to use Georgialibraries.org which gives them the power to tap into research tools that are age-appropriate.
3. The Library is a place where students can read, study, or collaborate on projects. Georgia Library books, eBooks, eReaders and audio books support the curriculum and satisfy students’ educational needs and personal interests. We want students to develop habits of inquiry, so we provide intellectual and physical access to information and collaborate with class instructors to integrate information and media literacy skills.
