SERVICE LEARNING
Charles Henry Terrell Academy’s commitment to service learning exists not only in our school, but locally, regionally, nationally and even globally and includes serving others by giving their time. Through dedicated involvement, students learn how to advocate for others as they grow to become compassionate citizens. Our students have supports awareness campaigns and fundraising efforts for the environment, poverty, hunger and crisis support such as:

- Shoes Across America
- Soup Kitchens
SUPPORT SERVICE/COUNSELING
Support Services is compromised of School Psychologists, Learning Specialists and Speech and Language Pathologists available through the Department of Education.
BEFORE CARE & AFTER SCHOOL
Before School Care is offered to meet the needs of families who require childcare during the days that school is not in session. This program is adult supervised and offers an opportunity to explore and play in an environment that is less structured and safe.
After school for students are offered through an independent contractor. Parents can select the following that will assist their child’s needs.

LIBRARY
1. The library supports literacy, oral knowledge, print knowledge and concepts. Story time experience includes finger plays, poetry, puppet shows, songs and read-aloud stories.

2. Students also learn to use Georgialibraries.org which gives them the power to tap into research tools that are age-appropriate.

3. The Library is a place where students can read, study, or collaborate on projects. Georgia Library books, eBooks, eReaders and audio books support the curriculum and satisfy students’ educational needs and personal interests. We want students to develop habits of inquiry, so we provide intellectual and physical access to information and collaborate with class instructors to integrate information and media literacy skills.

EXTENDED LEARNING SUMMER SESSION
Extended Learning session rates are: a registration fee of $25.00 (NEW STUDENTS ONLY) plus $365.00 for grades Pre-K-8, or $210 per subject for Grades 9-12. This Extended Learning Session is required for students who work below level during the school term by not keeping a “C’ average, all IEP students and those who entered the into the school term late.
